World's Largest Women's Soccer League

District Elite FC proudly competes in the Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL), one of the most established and competitive women’s leagues in the United States. Our women’s team expands the club’s professional pathway, creating elite opportunities for female athletes in Washington, DC.

The WPSL offers a national stage for top collegiate, post-collegiate, and emerging talent to compete, develop, and gain exposure. At District Elite FC, our WPSL players train and compete in an environment built on high standards, intentional development, and community representation, helping grow the women’s game in the nation’s capital.

District Elite FC is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Washington, DC, dedicated to fostering youth soccer development in a a supportive and inclusive environment.

The club offers two core programs: the Premier Select Team Program, designed for competitive players, and the Development Program, aimed at enhancing fundamental soccer skills.

PREMIER SELECT PROGRAM

Premier Select Teams

This is also referred to as Travel Teams. Players are selected based on their current or potential ability to compete in one of several state-sanctioned competitive leagues. District Elite FC has teams participating in EDP, EDP Futures, and the SAM league.

This program is designed for competitive players with experience playing at a high level. A tryout is required for participation. Fill out the tryout information at the bottom of this page, and our team will contact you with the upcoming dates.

COACHING METHODOLOGY

Unique Coaching Methodology

District Elite staff has collaborated with professional coaches from renowned clubs such as Santos and Atletico MG in Brazil, and Benfica in Portugal to develop our most recent coaching methodology. We have integrated our training methodology into the characteristics of Washington DC youth soccer by infusing it with an international flavor inspired by the experiences of these coaches.

A key advantage is its structured progression. As players grow older and their physical, mental, and tactical understanding develop, the training sessions are designed to align with their development stage.

We've carefully crafted a series of activities and training sessions that are tailored to each stage of development, ensuring that our players receive the best possible guidance and support as they advance in their soccer journey.
